Job summary

Yamad in Ohio is seeking a Die/Mold Maintenance Technician to keep dies and molds in good running order, with routine inventories and timely paper work documentation. The role requires 1–2 years of experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and skills in welding, basic mold maintenance, basic mechanical, basic hydraulics, basic pneumatics, and basic electric.

Overtime and lifting up to 75 pounds may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in Die/Mold maintenance preferred.
• Welding, basic mold maintenance, basic mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics and electric skills required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production and respond to die maintenance calls; troubleshoot and repair as needed.
• Monitor and organize spare part inventory; research part availability.
• Track downtime to predict preventative maintenance needs.
• Install, rebuild, modify and clean die parts; perform preventative maintenance.

Job description

Job Summary

This position is responsible for keeping Die Cast and Molds in good running order with minimal downtime. This position also requires adding monthly inventories and submitting timely paper work documentation.

Essential Functions

• Monitors production, responds to Die maintenance calls, troubleshoots Die problems, determining the corrective action needed and * * repairs/adjusts Die as necessary.
• Monitors and organizes spare part inventory, researches the availability of needed parts.
• Tracks downtime issues to predict necessary preventative maintenance items.
• Installs, rebuilds, modifies, and cleans Die parts as necessary.
• Performs preventative maintenance to Die to prevent unnecessary downtime.

Other Functions

• Interacts with co-workers, customers, outside vendors.
• Maintains a clean working environment.
• Continuously seeks to improve processes and procedures.
• Promotes a safe working environment for all Associates.

Requirements

Education

High School Diploma or GED is strongly preferred.

Experience

One to two years experience in Die/Mold maintenance preferred.

Skills

Position requires specific knowledge of machines used in production at YNA. Necessary skills include: welding, basic mold maintenance, basic mechanical, basic hydraulics, basic pneumatics, and basic electric. Position requires the use of hand tools, pneumatics tools, grinders, bandsaws, multimeters, and electric tools.

Working Conditions

Position requires the ability to bend, twist, reach, perform repetitive arm movements, lift up to 75 pounds, stand on concrete for extended periods of time, work mandatory overtime, and withstand temperatures of up to 120 degrees
