Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Die Maker Assistant for the 3rd shift. You will assist in producing top quality die boards for manufacturing, assemble strippers, and inspect dies, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

You should have a high school diploma or GED, experience in carpentry, metal work, and machinery, and be able to read safety rules and operating instructions. Overtime is required and drug screening applies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior carpentry and metal work experience preferred.
• Prior machinery and manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling and inspecting dies and related components.
• Stage dies and strippers for processing and pickup.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of equipment and work area.
• Follow company policies and procedures; participate in drug screening.
• Perform duties as assigned.
