Job summary

Smurfit Westrock Company in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Die Maker Assistant to help produce high-quality Die Boards for manufacturing operations. You will assemble and inspect dies and components, stage dies, and help maintain safety and cleanliness.

Overtime is required. Requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to read safety rules and manuals, basic math, and basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and inspect strippers and add proper rubber to dies.
• Assemble and inspect rubber dies.
• Stage dies and strippers for receiving to pick up.
• Revise and repair die and strippers.
• Cut corrugated samples on roller press.
• Maintain inventory and stock supplies.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
• Work overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
