Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Spartanburg, SC is seeking an experienced Die Cut Operator to join our production team on the 3rd shift (9:00 PM–5:00 AM). You will set up the machine, run production runs, and ensure quality and safety throughout the shift.

The ideal candidate has die-cut experience and printing capability, reads and interprets equipment manuals, can read a tape measure, and communicates effectively with the team. We value reliability, attendance, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous die cut experience and printing capability required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to lift, push and/or pull 50 lbs., navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other employees and management.
• Maintain good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Set up the machine for the production run, sheets, dies, etc.
• Operate the machine, following all standard operating procedures and instructions relevant to the job, position, and department accurately.
• Evaluate production quality and bring concerns to the appropriate lead or supervisor.
• Perform routine adjustments during the production run and maintain production throughout the run.
• Perform all assigned work effectively and on schedule.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all safety regulations.
• Contribute to quality investigations when necessary.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
