Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Die Cut Assistant in Kentucky to support die cut machine operations. You will cross-train across all functions, including feeding, mounting die plates, and adjusting substrates for warp and registration.

The role emphasizes safety, equipment cleanliness, and quality, with overtime as needed and active involvement in learning all tasks to run the die cut line effectively.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Must be able to perform basic arithmetic and understand measurements.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Push stock and off-load corrugated material from the machine.
• Feed corrugated blanks into the machine for the job.
• Make adjustments to substrate for warp and registration.
• Set up feed and stripper sections of the die cut machine.
• Mount and retrieve die plates; maintain machine cleanliness.
• Assist operator during training and fill in during absence.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
• Overtime may be required; follow company policies.
