Job summary

AISIN World Corp. of America is seeking a Team Member in the Die Maintenance department to maintain dies and ensure component quality. The role reports to a Supervisor and is non-exempt with pay up to $29.25/hour DOE.

Typical duties include lifting with hoists, cleaning dies, welding and brazing, measuring parts, performing layouts, and operating mills, lathes, and grinders. Candidates should have 1 year of college/technical training or 2–4 years experience with a HS diploma.

Qualifications

• Education/experience requirements include a certificate or multiple years of related work experience with a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before groups.
• Ability to calculate figures, percentages, and basic geometry for tasks.
• Ability to define problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Lifts using hoist or crane.
• Cleans dies using pressure washer.
• Polishes, grinds, and finishes core insert.
• Welds and brazes.
• Measures die parts and performs layout per design specs.
• Disassembles and assembles die parts; fits die using handwork.
• Operates milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders.
• Completes daily repair content reports and preventative maintenance sheets.
• Fabricates items as needed; wires limits; uses pipe threader.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education

One year certificate from college or technical school, or two (2) to four (4) years experience and high school diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and experience.
