Job summary

Orion Castings is seeking a Finish Operator to support die casting operations and related processing. The role requires willingness to learn new operations as needed and to fill in for other class operations when demanded.

Candidate should be able to perform secondary operations, assist in setup and adjustments of equipment, and maintain quality through gauges and documentation. Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform secondary operations as needed and assigned.
• Perform other associated duties, functions or work as may be needed or assigned to continue the productive operation of the company.
• Perform and assist in the set up and adjustments of equipment as experience is gained.
• Change and replace tools when necessary as experience is gained.
• Use of gauges to assure the quality of the castings.
• Stand and operate machine or equipment continuously—a minimum of 8 hours per day.
• Participate in training programs deemed necessary by the company.
• Required to complete paperwork associated with the job. (time card, machine card, production records, charts, etc.)
• Must follow all safety rules and work in a safe manner, so not to endanger self or co-workers. Report unsafe conditions.
• Wear required personal protective equipment.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Capable and willing to work overtime.
