Job summary

Kurt Manufacturing in Fridley, MN, is seeking a Die Cast Set-Up Operator to set up and operate die casting machines for aluminum parts.

You will perform machine setup, inspect castings for defects, adjust cycles and speeds, and assist with maintenance. Shift is 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday; reliable attendance is required.

Requires a High School diploma or GED; 1 month related experience (6 months preferred); NADCA Level I Certification preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up die casting machine and adjust stroke of ram.
• Connect cooling and lubrication systems and preheat dies as required.
• Operate equipment to cast samples and inspect for defects.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning of furnaces and equipment as needed.
• Move materials with forklift and document units handled.
