Job summary

Cascade Die Casting Group in Sparta, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of plant machinery and facilities.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical faults, install and adjust electrical equipment including PLCs, weld and operate forklift as needed, and maintain records; collaborate with maintenance staff to drive uptime and continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints, schematics, and diagrams for electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Reading, writing and basic shop math required.
• Experience or training in using testing equipment.
• Proper use of hand tools and power tools; safety adherences.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs die cast machines, furnaces, compressors, trim presses, and related equipment.
• Diagnoses electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical faults and implements fixes.
• Installs, adjusts, repairs, and replaces electrical equipment and PLCs.
• Maintains records and prepares reports per standard procedures.
• Operates forklift and performs welding as required.
• Performs preventative maintenance and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
