Job summary

Team Outsider seeks a General Manager for Diamond Lake Resort in Owensboro, Kentucky. You will lead all campground operations, work hands-on with the team, and shape the property's guest experiences and financial performance.

Ideal candidates have senior campground or RV resort leadership experience, a proven ability to build teams, manage labor and expenses, and drive continuous improvement across guest services, maintenance, lodging, and infrastructure.

• Lead ongoing infrastructure and capital improvements while minimizing guest disruption.
• Follow company processes and use technology to manage reservations, reporting, financials, and daily ops.
• Communicate with Home Office and on-site teams; participate in virtual meetings and training, following through on commitments.
• Partner with Home Office to continuously improve the property and business.

Diamond Lake Resort is entering an exciting new chapter, and we're looking for an experienced campground leader to help shape its future.

Located in Owensboro, Kentucky, Diamond Lake has been welcoming families for generations. Investments have already been made in lodging, equipment, and infrastructure, and we're looking for a General Manager who is excited to build on that momentum.

This is a hands-on, working leadership role. Our General Managers don't just oversee operations. They work alongside their teams, whether that's helping guests, answering phones, tackling maintenance projects, or jumping in wherever needed.

Your Mission

Lead the continued transformation of Diamond Lake Resort by developing an exceptional team, creating memorable guest experiences, stewarding the property's continued infrastructure improvements, and delivering outstanding financial performance.

What You'll Do

• Lead all campground operations, including guest services, maintenance, housekeeping, and lodging, actively working alongside the team.
• Build strong relationships with team members through a consistent on-site presence, recognition, coaching, support, and accountability.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences and strong online reviews.
• Own the property's financial performance, including labor and operating expenses.
• Lead ongoing infrastructure and capital improvement projects while minimizing disruption to guests.
• Consistently follow company processes and independently utilize technology to manage reservations, reporting, financials, team member information, and daily operations.
• Communicate proactively with Home Office and on-site teams, actively participate in virtual meetings and training, and follow through on commitments.
• Partner with Home Office to continuously improve the property and business.

What We're Looking For

Required

• General Manager (or equivalent senior leadership) experience managing a campground or RV resort.
• Experience leading cross-functional operations and developing teams.
• Strong financial and operational leadership experience.
• A hands-on leader who is willing and able to personally contribute to daily campground operations, not just oversee them.
• Proficiency using computers and business software independently, with the ability to learn new systems and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Strong communication, follow-through, and commitment to established processes and accountability.
