Job summary

Phoenix Children’s is seeking a Unit Support Associate for our Dialysis clinic. This part-time (0.6 FTE) role provides essential administrative and operational support to ensure accurate patient scheduling, registration, and billing accuracy in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of medical registration and HIPAA experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and with the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of administrative support experience.
• Minimum 1 year of medical registration experience.
• Experience with HIPAA Privacy Act.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document demographic and financial information from patients and responsible parties.
• Obtain authorizations for procedures and document details.
• Document in patient accounts and prioritize workflow.
• Provide accurate documentation of activities for patient accounts.
• Organize and monitor daily work for pre-registration, registration, and billing.
• Register patients into the procedure area and collect co-pays.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, guarantors, insurers, and staff.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to stay compliant.
