Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Westlake clinic is hiring a Patient Care Technician / Dialysis Technician Trainee. No prior dialysis experience is required, as the position includes 12 weeks of paid, comprehensive training to help you build a rewarding career.

These are regular full-time roles with early start times around 5:00 am, typically four 10-hour shifts with every other Saturday. Schedules are set in advance; no overnight shifts and Sundays are closed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS-approved state or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline.
• CPR certification required; prior patient care experience is a plus.
• Previous hospital-based patient care experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of dialysis therapy under supervision.
• Monitor vital signs and weight; document treatment data.
• Provide patient education and safety during treatment.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment; report changes to RN or supervisor.
• Support CQI activities and adhere to policies.
