Job summary

UVM Health - UVM Medical Center is seeking a Renal Systems Technician to blend Dialysis Biomedical Engineering with Information Technology across six statewide dialysis units. The role ensures continuous, safe operation of life-sustaining dialysis equipment and the IT infrastructure behind it.

You will manage water purification systems, clinical treatment hardware, and database-driven workflows, while providing 24/7 on-call support to renal services clinics.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a relevant field or 3+ years of hands-on experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Experience with relational databases, virtualization, and patient-care equipment repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair water purification and dialysis equipment.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot RO systems and water testing routines.
• Provide on-call support and on-site or remote troubleshooting as needed.
• Collaborate with IT and Biomedical teams to ensure system reliability.
