Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Tulsa, OK is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP1 program to provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. This CAP program requires adherence to policy and ongoing advancement requirements.

Qualifications

• RN with an accredited nursing degree (Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing).
• Current appropriate state licensure as an RN.
• Current or successful CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients under supervision.
• Document patient data in medical records and adjust treatment plans as indicated.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and disease processes.
• Deliver safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with care staff.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and document outcomes.
• Initiate emergency response measures when needed.
• Support staff training and orientation as assigned.
• Ensure proper lab collection, processing and timely rescheduling of labs.
