Job summary

Prairie Lakes Healthcare System in Watertown, SD is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Kidney Dialysis unit. This full-time position (0.8 status) involves planning, evaluating, and delivering hemodialysis care to chronic outpatients, inpatients, and acute patients as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate degree in nursing from an approved program.
Minimum one-year experience in a medical/surgical unit preferred.

Responsibilities

Facilitates coordination and integration of interdepartmental care for dialysis patients.
Training of new staff members.
Contributes to CQI programs with audits and process improvement.
Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Delivers hemodialysis care and administers prescribed treatments.
Documents nursing care and communicates physician orders.
Educates patients and families as prescribed by Nephrology team.
