Job summary

Stamford Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Oncology Unit on DAY SHIFT (three 13-hour shifts, 7am–8pm).

The role requires a Connecticut RN license, BLS, and at least 2 years of acute care experience; BSN preferred. Per diem schedule includes a minimum of 3 shifts per 6 weeks, with weekend coverage and major holiday shifts when needed. Stamford Health offers competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid Connecticut RN license.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to oncology inpatients and advocates for patients.
• Assesses physical and psychosocial condition throughout the continuum of care.
• Develops and communicates patient plan of care with proposed interventions.
• Coordinates with patient, family, and healthcare team to implement plan of care.
• Document daily notes and nursing treatment plans; participate in group activities as scheduled.
