Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level professional registered nurse for the Outpatient CAP program. This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients, with possible delegation to RNs, LVNs/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.

As part of the End Stage Kidney Disease care team, the nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, leadership activities and quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties under direction of Supervisor and with guidance from Educator or Preceptor.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during hemodialysis and documents in medical records.
• Educates patients and families on basics and ongoing care.
• Delivers safe hemodialysis in collaboration with the care team.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
