Job summary

CH01 CHE Fresenius Medical Care (Schweiz) AG is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program. The role focuses on assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned patient group, including delegation to staff during hemodialysis.

You will perform data collection, documentation, patient education, and medication administration under supervision, with opportunities to contribute to staff training and emergency responses.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or RN colleagues.
• Performs ongoing collection and analysis of patient data during hemodialysis and documents in the medical record.
• Educates patients and families on basic learning needs and treatment plans.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with care staff.
• Administers prescribed medications or per approved algorithms and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures as needed.
• Assists with staff training and orientation of new personnel as assigned.
• Ensures proper laboratory collection, processing and transport and reschedules missed labs.
• Updates nursing assessment and care plan through Interdisciplinary Team collaboration.
• Discusses transplant options and treatment modality choices with patients.
