Job summary

Select Medical's SSH-St. Francis campus in Milwaukee is seeking a Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time employment. Compensation includes a $15,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

The RN will provide specialized care for hemodialysis patients, following physician-approved plans and collaborating with the care team to ensure quality outcomes. Responsibilities include patient assessments, implementing care plans, and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of hemodialysis experience.
• Valid State Registered Nurse License (RN).
• BLS is required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and monitor ongoing systematic assessments of patients.
• Provide nursing care to meet needs of hemodialysis patients.
• Interpret assessment data and information for care planning.
• Collaborate with physicians on the dialysis treatment plan.
• Perform hemodialysis as prescribed.
• Educate and counsel patients and families.

Responsibilities

Using independent and interdependent judgment, the Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. In collaboration with the physician, the Dialysis RN assures implementation of the assessment plan, evaluation, and follow-up of the plan of care for the patient population.

• Initiating an on-going systematic assessment of patients.
• Providing nursing care to meet the needs of the hemodialysis patient.
• Interpreting assessment data and information.
• Collaborating with providers regarding the dialysis treatment plan.
• Performing hemodialysis as prescribed.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Valid temporary or permanent State Registered Nurse License.
• At least one (1) year of Hemodialysis experience
• BLS required. ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Preferred qualificationsthat will make you successful:

• Hemodialysis in the acute care setting or acute care experience
