Fresenius Medical Care in Palatine, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the dialysis team. The role focuses on safe, effective dialysis therapy under RN supervision and involves setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, patient monitoring, and documentation.

You will participate in education, CQI activities, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while contributing to quality goals and patient satisfaction.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment.
• Supports QEP and CQI activities, including patient satisfaction.
• Participates in process improvement activities that enhance QEP goals.
• Evaluates patient condition and response to dialysis therapy.
• Obtains vital signs and pre/post treatment assessments.
• Calculates and enters UF goals, treatment time, and UF modeling.
• Ensures safety alarms are enabled (NVL 160).
• Documents treatment data on the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Reports changes in patient condition to RN or supervisor.
• Observes patients and conducts machine safety checks as per policy.
• Performs interventions for unusual patient status and documents response.
• Evaluates vascular access during treatment and reports findings.
