Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the dialysis health care team. You will assist with setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patient vitals, and support infection control within the clinic.

The role requires education on adequacy measures and active participation in CQI activities. Under supervision of a licensed nurse, you will educate patients, document treatments, and ensure safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a valid PCT national or state certification.
• Continued employment dependent on dialysis training program completion and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in education regarding adequacy measures and dialysis processes.
• Welcome patients, assess wellbeing, and monitor during treatment.
• Operate and monitor dialysis machine settings and safety alarms.
• Record vital signs, weight, and treatment parameters; report changes to RN.
