Dialysis Clinic, Inc. in Belfast, ME is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the dialysis treatment team and deliver care to patients with end-stage renal disease. The role emphasizes safety, high-quality care, and a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Three 12-hour shifts start at 5am, Sundays off, no overnight shifts; paid training with a preceptor and comprehensive benefits are provided. No prior dialysis experience required, training program included; CNA/EMT or related skills

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Desire to collaborate with care teams.
• Ability to problem-solve in clinical settings.
• HS diploma or GED required; healthcare training supported.

Responsibilities

• Infection control, risk management and patient education.
• Guide new patients through the 120-day education plan.
• Record patient vital signs and machine readings.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis and inform charge nurse.
• Calculate weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine care priorities and organize workload.
• Maintain patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
