Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician to support the dialysis treatment team. This full‑time role involves assisting with patient care, monitoring treatments, and maintaining a safe clinical environment in our Colorado clinic.

DCI offers paid 12‑week training with a preceptor, comprehensive medical/dental/vision benefits, and a robust retirement plan. No dialysis experience required; students and new grads welcomed to apply and train with experts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.
• DCI provides a 3‑month comprehensive education program, including classroom group sessions and one‑on‑one skills training.
• Dialysis experience not required, job shadow opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient’s weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
