Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support dialysis treatment in our nonprofit setting. You will assist with patient care, monitor vitals, and perform tasks under RN supervision.

The position follows a 30-hour weekly schedule with three 10-hour shifts starting at 4am and Sundays off. DCI offers paid training, comprehensive medical/dental/vision benefits, PTO, retirement matching, and education reimbursement to support your growth while caring for patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient's weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize work load accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
