Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Patient Care Technician Trainee to learn direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in a dialysis setting. You will be trained to perform hemodialysis tasks, monitor vital signs, document information, and support equipment preparation and cleaning.

Qualifications

• Experience: One (1) year of medical experience preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D. certificate, or equivalent
• Licenses/Certifications: Current CPR certification; BENON/NNCC/NNCO certification within 18 months from hire; CDPH CHT certification (CA locations) within 18 months from hire

Responsibilities

• Learn direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with hemodialysis setup and monitoring.
• Take and monitor patient vital signs.
• Document patient information accurately.
• Prepare and monitor dialysis equipment; clean and maintain equipment.
