Job summary

U.S. Renal Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our dialysis team. You will provide direct patient care, monitor treatments, and ensure safe, comfortable dialysis sessions under RN or CN supervision.

Responsibilities include prepping machines, collecting samples, maintaining safety protocols, and participating in ongoing education. Prior dialysis or CNA experience is a plus; CPR and PCT certification requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
• Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
• Must be comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• USRC training program approved by the Medical Director with competency; includes training in hemodialysis within 8 weeks of hire.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
• PCT certification via state or national program within 18 months and maintained thereafter.
• Specific state requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment.
• Gather patient stats before and after treatment.
• Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatment.
• Collect patient blood samples per physician orders.
• Prepare machines for hemodialysis, clean and disinfect after treatment, and log quality control results.
• Adhere to safety measures and use PPE.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
