U.S. Renal Care in Lafayette, IN seeks a Patient Care Technician to support dialysis treatment under RN/Charge Nurse supervision. Responsibilities include direct patient care, equipment prep, and adherence to safety and quality protocols as part of a cross-functional team.

The role emphasizes patient safety, ongoing training, and participation in required staff meetings and education to ensure high-quality kidney care.

Qualificações

• Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director within 8 weeks of hire.
• Successful completion of USRC training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis within 8 weeks of hire.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
• Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state program or national certification within 18 months of hire and maintained thereafter.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Comfortable with mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.

Responsabilidades

• Provide safe, comfortable dialysis treatment and gather patient stats before and after treatment.
• Prepare machines, disinfect after treatment, and conduct safety checks with logging for quality control.
• Adhere to safety measures and company/state/federal regulations; participate in staff meetings and ongoing education.
