Southeastern Renal Dialysis seeks a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our dialysis team in Mount Pleasant, IA. You will provide safe, high-quality hemodialysis under nurse supervision, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

This role is ideal for candidates with prior patient care experience who are passionate about compassionate, detail-oriented clinical care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of patient care experience (hospital or clinical setting preferred).
• Must meet CMS certification requirements.
• CCHT certification required within 18 months of hire.
• CPR certification required (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and disinfect hemodialysis machines.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
• Obtain and document vital signs, weights, and treatment data.
• Perform vascular access care and cannulation per state guidelines.
• Identify and report changes in patient condition to the RN.
• Administer heparin as delegated by licensed nurse.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Accurately document treatments in the clinical system.
• Support quality improvement initiatives (QEP/CQI).
