Job summary

Aura Health is seeking an Outpatient RN I to provide clinically competent care within the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) team. Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients, with input on education, medications, emergencies, and collaboration with the health care team.

The role requires RN licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and strong communication and education skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing School with current state licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience; hemodialysis experience preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting, standing, and assisting with patient mobility.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and document medical records, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on treatment options and care procedures.
• Administer medications and respond to emergencies.
• Ensure proper laboratory procedures and documentation.
• Participate in staff training, orientation, and quality improvement activities.
• Delegate tasks to care staff and supervise when in leadership roles.
