Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in the United States seeks an entry level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program. The role provides and coordinates clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients under supervision.

Responsibilities include data collection during hemodialysis, education for patients and families, collaboration with the care team, administration of medications per protocol, and participation in quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure and CPR/BLS certification.
• Entry-level RN with nephrology dialysis experience preferred.
• Must meet practice requirements in the state employed.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties under supervision with guidance from Educator or Supervisor.
• Assess and document patient data before, during and after hemodialysis.
• Educate patients and families on care plans.
• Deliver safe hemodialysis therapy and monitor patient response.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
