Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Outpatient RN CAP 1 to join our End Stage Kidney Disease care team. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients under supervision, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Collaborate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians, contribute to quality improvement activities, and advance through CAP requirements. A state nursing license and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state of employment.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all essential functions under supervision with guidance from Clinical Educator/Preceptor.
• Collects and analyzes patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis and documents in medical record.
• Provides patient and family education.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with the team.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per algorithm and documents impact.
• Initiates or assists with emergency responses.
• Supports staff training and orientation.
