Job summary

UW Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to participate in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate patient care within dialysis services. You will write and manage dialysis orders and contribute to anemia and bone mineral density management.

The role includes assessment for dialysis access, blood pressure control, volume status, and lab review, with referrals for transplant or home dialysis as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Minimum Wisconsin NP or PA licensure.
• Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with the care team for coordination.
• Write and manage dialysis orders.
• Manage and treat anemia and bone mineral density (BMD).
• Assess and refer for dialysis access placement or intervention.
• Blood pressure management.
• Volume status and estimated dry weight assessment.
• Review and manage laboratory results.
• Refer for transplant and/or home dialysis program.
