Job summary

DaVita in Indianapolis is seeking a Float Patient Care Technician to support dialysis patients across multiple clinic locations and to provide direct patient care with a focus on safety and comfort. You will rotate across 14 clinics in the Greater Indianapolis area, working mornings and other shifts, with training provided and license costs reimbursed.

This role emphasizes teamwork with clinicians and leadership to deliver quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in health care in a clinical/hospital setting; dialysis experience preferred.
• Willing to train at a facility or training clinic as needed.
• Comfortable floating across multiple locations within the Greater Indianapolis area.
• Able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; shifts start as early as 4:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care during dialysis; monitor patient condition and educate patients.
• Set up hemodialysis machines; record stats and observations; ensure safety and hygiene.
• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership; report to RN.
