Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Indianapolis seeks a dialysis patient care technician to support the dialysis process under the supervision of licensed nurses. The role includes setup, monitoring, and safe operation of hemodialysis machines, with emphasis on patient wellbeing, data recording, and adherence to infection control practices.

You will perform pre/post treatment assessments, assist with cannulation, and ensure safety alarms and machine settings are properly managed as part of routine

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CMS/state certification requirements must be met within the required timeline.
• All applicable state licensure, education, and training required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in education on adequacy measures and dialysis processes.
• Monitor patient wellbeing and respond to vital signs during treatment.
• Assist with cannulation, heparin administration, and UF/monitoring per orders.
• Record treatment data and ensure accurate charting and safety checks.
• Support CQI activities and infection control practices as directed.
