Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Biomedical Technician to maintain and repair dialysis and water treatment equipment in our kidney care clinics. You will train colleagues on operational maintenance and manage medical supplies to ensure patient safety.

Key duties include troubleshooting equipment, maintaining the water system, and documenting all service activities. A high school diploma or GED and a driver’s license are required, with an associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in electronics / biomedical technology, or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Valid Driver's License issued in the state of residence required.
• Continued employment dependent on successful Fresenius Biomedical Technician training within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems.
• Maintains the facility physical plant as directed.
• Ensures external vendor services are completed per contract.
• Purchases and retains an inventory of service parts.
• Performs and reports water/dialysate sample collection and actions required.
• Conducts trend analysis on the water system to ensure proper function.
• Documents all repairs and maintenance activity.
• Assists in planning and installing biomedical equipment for safe operation.
• Transports equipment as needed with supervisor consent.
• Participates in monthly technical and regulatory meetings.
• Collaborates with facility staff to meet regulatory and OSHA requirements.
• Manages inventory and assists with costs.
• Verifies and monitors testing of water system by patient care staff.
