Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Biomedical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair dialysis equipment and water treatment systems across our kidney care clinics. You will also train colleagues on operational maintenance and manage essential service parts and inventories.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate preferred), a valid driver's license, and willingness to complete Fresenius Biomedical Technician training within 24 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in electronics/biomedical technology preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must complete Fresenius Biomedical Technician training within 24 months of hire.
• Less than 1 year related experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs dialysis equipment, ancillary equipment, and water treatment systems.
• Maintains the facility physical plant as directed.
• Ensures external vendor services are performed per contract.
• Purchases and manages inventory of service parts.
• Performs water/dialysate sampling and recommendations.
• Conducts trend analysis on water system performance.
• Documents all repairs and maintenance actions.
• Assists in planning and installing biomedical equipment for safe operation.
• Transports equipment as needed with supervisor approval.
• Participates in monthly technical and regulatory meetings.
• Collaborates with staff to meet regulatory/OSHA requirements.
• Manages inventory including deliveries and counts.
• Verifies testing of patient care staff's water-testing techniques.
• Completes training programs required by regulations and policy.
• Provides after-hours on-call coverage as needed.
