Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Charge Nurse to oversee daily patient care and staff on duty. The incumbent ensures quality dialysis treatment, maintains compliance with policies, and directs nursing staff to deliver safe, effective care.

The role requires RN licensure, 12+ months nursing experience with 6 more in dialysis, and CPR certification. Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• RN with valid state license
• 12 months nursing experience plus 6 months dialysis-specific experience
• CPR certification required, with ability to perform under pressure
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance and feedback to direct patient care staff and participate in staffing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company and facility procedures and governing regulations.
• Approve or adjust staff schedules and document work hours according to policies.
• Participate in patient care plan meetings and oversee dialysis care and equipment use.
• Train and orient staff; supervise adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Lead staff meetings with the Facility Administrator to communicate changes and status.
