Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks a Charge Nurse to oversee daily patient care and direct nursing staff in a dialysis facility. You will ensure safe, high-quality outcomes, coordinate with RNs, physicians and support teams, and maintain regulatory compliance.

The role requires RN licensure, 12+ months nursing experience with at least 6 months in dialysis, and supervisory capabilities. Strong communication and CPR certification are essential for patient safety and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months nursing experience, plus 6 months dialysis-specific care.
• Medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Certified in CPR.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance and feedback to direct patient care staff.
• Participate in staffing decisions and hiring actions.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, policies and regulations.
• Approve or adjust staff schedules as needed.
• Participate in patient care plan meetings and care assignments.
• Train and orient staff; supervise documentation of patient information.
• Coordinate Charge Nurse duties with Staff RNs and act in relief capacity.
• Assess patient needs and communicate with rounding physician to adjust care.
