Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Charge Nurse to oversee daily patient care operations in our dialysis unit. The role requires RN licensure, at least 12 months of nursing experience plus 6 months in dialysis, and supervisory experience.

You will guide staff, ensure compliance with policies and safety standards, and coordinate patient care plans with the physician team. The Charge Nurse will supervise staff, train new hires, manage schedules, and ensure safe, high-quality outcomes for patients

Qualifications

• Must have RN license and be registered to practice in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience, plus 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients.
• Certified in CPR or successfully complete CPR certification.
• Good communication skills – verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance and supervision to patient care staff and participate in annual performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with all company and facility procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Approve or disapprove staffing changes while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Participate in patient care plan meetings and coordinate with the physician team.
• Train and orient staff; supervise documentation and adherence to safety policies.
