Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Roanoke is seeking a dedicated dialysis technician to assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines and monitor patient care throughout treatments. You will document vital signs, machine parameters and ensure a safe treatment environment while following policy and regulatory requirements.

The role includes active participation in infection control, CQI activities and ongoing patient education, with a strong emphasis on teamwork under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must meet CMS/state certification requirements within required state timelines.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training.
• Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of dialysis machines.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes during treatment.
• Record vital signs, treatment times and machine settings.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of dialysis environment.
• Document all treatment data accurately and timely.
