Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dialysis patient care technician to join the health care team in Virginia Beach. You will assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patients during treatment, and ensure a safe, clean environment under RN supervision.

Training and CPR certification are required, with opportunities to participate in CQI activities. The role emphasizes patient education, accurate documentation of vital signs, and adherence to facility policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification is required during training or as part of ongoing qualifications.
• Continued employment depends on successful completion of the organization dialysis training program.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hemodialysis machines as directed.
• Monitor patients during dialysis and record vital signs and treatment data.
• Evaluate patient condition and report changes to the RN or supervisor.
• Perform infection control and safety checks between treatments.
• Assist with patient education and prep for dialysis treatment.
