Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Jamestown, NC is seeking a dialysis patient care technician to join our clinical team. You will support safe dialysis delivery under supervision, document treatment data, monitor patient condition, and ensure clean, compliant environment.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, vascular access checks, vital signs collection, and adherence to CQI processes while coordinating with the RN and other care teammates.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CMS-approved state or national certification within the required state or CMS timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate vascular access for patency, cannulation, and administer heparin as delegated.
• Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders and monitor therapy.
• Obtain pre/post treatment vital signs, weight and document on the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Record accurate treatment data and report significant changes to the RN or supervisor.
• Maintain safety, infection control and environmental standards between treatments.
