Responsibilities

• Welcome assigned patients and inquire about wellbeing
• Evaluate vascular access patency and cannulation; administer heparin as allowed
• Obtain pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight
• Initiate dialysis per orders (QB, QD) and monitor responses
• Record vital signs, treatment parameters, and dialysis data accurately
• Discontinue dialysis according to procedures and assess patient before venous access termination
• Document hemostasis and dressings; evaluate patient prior to discharge
• Obtain lab samples and prepare specimens; ensure cleanup per policy
• Maintain clean, safe environment and assist in CQI activities
