Job summary

Roche is seeking a System Development Software Tester to join a global, cross-functional team responsible for workflow optimization and integration of hardware, software, and reagents for diagnostics instruments.

You will develop and test complex systems, design experiments, create test cases, analyze results, and prepare regulatory documents in English. Proficiency in English and German, plus experience with Windows/Linux and automated testing, are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical or life sciences discipline.
• 1+ year of work experience in diagnostic system development or related field.
• Fluency in English and German.
• Experience in regulated environments (S1/S2 biosafety).
• Strong analytical and interdisciplinary thinking.
• Experience in statistical data analysis.
• Ability to work independently across departments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute work packages within the area of responsibility, with reporting and issue escalation to management.
• Set up an automated testing environment and use data analysis tools to provide statistical data to management.
• Work with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Develop and execute test cases from product requirements; track defects and verify fixes.
• Create design history files and other regulatory documents; prepare and present project results.
• Coordinate efforts with hardware, software, consumables, assay, and algorithm development teams.
