Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an X-ray Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations and uphold patient safety. You will work with several departments to position patients, operate equipment, and ensure accurate image labeling.

The role requires an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program graduate with ARRT certification and NJ licensure, and includes on-site duties with required flexibility for shifts and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office/Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Produces diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients and selecting proper factors.
• Uses standard techniques to gather information and prepare scanning protocols.
• Adheres to ALARA principles and ensures patient safety.
• Performs portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, ORs, and EDs.
• Identifies patient images and correctly marks laterality.
• Maintains orderly x-ray room and supplies.
• Prepares radiopaque contrast media and assists in administration when needed.
• Performs scheduling and clerical duties related to patient care and records.
