Job summary

Qualifications

• Current certification as RDMS-AB or ARDMS OB/GYN.
• ARRT Registration for Sonography (S) is acceptable.
• RQI eCredential must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Additional license requirements may be specified by the department.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams per physician orders and patient history.
• Verify and enter patient demographics and document findings.
• Educate patients about exams and provide clear explanations.
• Tailor ultrasound exams based on findings and likely diagnosis.
• Update patient logs and submit billing documentation.
• Ensure ultrasound equipment is operational and coordinate maintenance.
• Assist in training student sonographers, residents, and fellows.
• Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided invasive procedures.
