Job summary

University of Utah Health is seeking a Breast Imaging Radiologic Technologist to perform specialized breast imaging procedures using ionizing and non-ionizing technology. This role provides direct patient care, educates patients about breast imaging and risks, and participates in quality improvement within the imaging department.

Qualifications

• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in Utah.
• Registration with ARRT for Mammography (R.T.(M)).
• Additional license requirements per hiring department.

Responsibilities

• Performs breast imaging procedures using ionizing and non-ionizing equipment.
• Assists in ultrasound-guided or stereotactic breast biopsies as needed.
• Educates patients about procedures and provides a safe, comfortable environment.
• Ensures compliance with imaging guidelines and quality control.
• Trains new mammography technologists and supports quality improvement.
• Maintains accurate patient information and documents procedures.
• Identifies and addresses equipment issues and manages inventories.
