Job summary

UNC Health Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, NC seeks an ultrasound technologist to join the Rex NCHV - Raleigh Clinic on a per diem basis. The role focuses on cardiovascular ultrasound imaging, pre/post-care, room setup, and quality monitoring.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, equipment maintenance, image generation, and possible staff training. Requires an associate degree or 12-month program in ultrasound and ARDMS/CCI registration (or eligibility within 1 year).

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology or related field within 3 months of hire, OR completion of a twelve (12) month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care including CPR; assists with transport as needed.
• Ensures ultrasound equipment is calibrated, maintained daily, and issues are reported to a supervisor.
• Produces ultrasound images of the heart and vascular structures.
• May train and educate staff as needed.
• Maintains patient information and reports; handles data for charge entry and report retrieval.
• Prepares the procedure room and equipment for daily use and between procedures.
