Job summary

UNC Health Medical Group in Raleigh seeks a per diem Radiologic Technologist to conduct routine radiology procedures and assist the radiologist in complex exams, including contrast administration and patient care. You will verify patient data, manage images in PACS, and document in RIS throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include ensuring accurate exam requests, maintaining equipment safety, and collaborating with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associateegree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program; contingency if degree not yet complete.
• Registered by ARRT or registry-eligible and registered within 1 year from hire; BLS for Healthcare Provider.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologist in complex radiographic procedures and administer contrast media per regulations.
• Ensure patient demographics, exam requests, and images are correct; save and transmit images to PACS; document procedures in RIS.
• Maintain exposure to safety standards and radiology equipment; verify identity and pregnancy status when applicable.
