Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Artesia, NM is seeking an Ultrasound Sonographer to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams including general, vascular, and echocardiographic procedures. Work closely with radiologists and cardiologists to provide essential diagnostic data for patient care planning.

The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, or Radiologic Sciences program with ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification, vascular RVT, NM State

Qualifications

• Competent in vascular Doppler studies and general ultrasound.
• Strong anatomical knowledge and ability to distinguish normal vs. abnormal findings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with EMR, PACS, and imaging workflow systems.
• Ability to serve neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams: abdominal, small parts, OB/GYN, vascular.
• Evaluate clinical history to ensure complete exams.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; ensure image quality.
• Analyze sonographic findings and relay impressions to physicians.
• Maintain documentation in PACS and EMR.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality.
• Take call as scheduled and respond to emergent imaging needs.
• Support quality improvement and training within the department.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program, Cardiovascular Technology Program, or Radiologic Sciences Program
